I'm feeling proud this morning. Proud of my brother Dan, who recently provided keen insight for a New York Times fashion-section story. And proud of famed Portland trumpet maker, David Monette, for crafting what may be the world's first left-handed trumpet. His client: Ingrid Jensen. She's now one of my favorites. After I go find and listen to some of her music, I bet I'll like her even more.

buttons and trumpets
I'm feeling proud this morning. Proud of my brother Dan, who recently provided keen insight for a New York Times fashion-section story. Dan echoes the sentiment of women everywhere - BRAVO!!!
When I was in my mother's womb I had a stroke and so my right hand is impaired so if I do band I may need a left handed trumpet...
